Los Portales Mexican Restaurant was founded in April 2006 by Jose and Claudia Ursua. José and Claudia met over 24 years ago while working together at a Mexican restaurant, fell in love, and soon married. Both José and Claudia shared the dream of owning their own business, and after many years of hard work, dedication, and help from Claudia’s siblings, that dream came true. Los Portales Mexican Restaurant was born by combining their love of Mexican food and culture.
“Portales” describes the entrance of a building or section of a market in town which is generally reserved for food vendors or homestyle restaurants. It is with great honor that they used this name for their family-run restaurant.
